Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival with Star introduces a programme this year called The New Medium. This section will feature the best in innovative filmmaking by scouring the living history of cinema – from its inception to the contemporary moment. The New Medium is formulated and programmed by artist, Shaina Anand who is co-founder of the artist studio CAMP, and the Indian Cinema Foundation. The Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star, in its 18th edition celebrates Marathi cinema with the launch of its new segment, Marathi Talkies. The programme will showcase Marathi films through the day at PVR, Lower Parel on October 25, 2016. The film line up has been curated by renowned Marathi film critic, Amol Parchure. Oscar-nominee and animator, Michaël Dudok de Wit, in his debut feature film ‘The Red Turtle’, brings a visual treat for film enthusiasts at Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival with Star. The Red Turtle is a French-Belgian-Japanese animated film co-produced by Wild Bunch and Ghibli Studios.
