“I am humbled by the feedback the music is receiving for Naal”: Advait Nemlekar

The Marathi movie Naal movie released a few days ago (16th November) and we managed to catch up with the Music Director of the film Advait Nemlekar . Sharing his experience on the film, he said,Naal released yesterday, and the feedback is very good, people are giving amazing reviews. I am very humbled. The film is a beautiful piece of work, mostly because of an emotional story and performances, and I am lucky to be a part of this movie. Its an honor to have worked for the Marathi film industry, because this film has marked my debut as a Music Director in this space. I feel humbled and privileged that I got an opportunity of working with such a talented team, because they are probably the most humble and down to earth people I have worked with and it felt like working with a family.

Advait is winner of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award for Best Music Director, he is a Composer and Music Producer with a distinct style and soul of music, and has scored for over a 160 short films and numerous ad films. Having collaborated with renowned artist like Shankar Mahadevan, Sukhwinder Singh, Usha Uthup, Javed Ali, Harshdeep Kaur for his compositions, he brings in a great amount of talent and experience to the table.

Apart from films, Advait has also composed music for several TV series’ like All About Section 377 (2016)I Don’t Watch TV (2016) and Gangster Newton (2017)

Advait Nemlekar is also noted for his works in Gujarati cinema. His notable film credits include Gujjubhai the Great (2015) and GujjuBhai – Most Wanted (2018), a Gujarati comedy-drama featuring Jimit Trivedi, Jayesh More, Vyoma Nandi, and Sunil Vishrani in important roles.

Upon asking about his upcoming or future projects, he said, he is currently working with Times of India for two web series, and is doing music for the series on Amazon Prime, also he has composed music for upcoming Feature film ‘Bodhi‘ which was selected for MAMI gold category and Namami Gange Anthem is work in progress in PM’s office.
