Aashiq Abu has been having a relatively dull period of late with his recent films like Da Thadiya (2012), Anchu Sundarikal (2013) and Idukki Gold (2013), not turning out to be very successful. And now he returns with Gangster which features Mammootty in the lead. Incidentally Aashiq had made his debut as filmmaker in Malayalam Cinema with Daddy Cool (2009) which had Mammootty in the lead and now the two are joining hands for a film after 5 years at a time when both are in need of a big hit. Gangster has Mammootty playing an underworld don and the rest of the star cast includes Nyla Usha, Aparna Gopinath,Sekhar Menon, T.G.Ravi, Hareesh Peradi etc. The film is produced by OPM Cinemas and is written by Abhilash Kumar and Ahmed Sidhique.Continue reading “Gangster: Trailer”
