Avatharam PosterVeteran Malayalam director Joshiy has been a bad run of late with back to back flops,Lokpal (2013) and Salaam Kashmir (2014). He now returns with one of his favorite heroes,Dileep in Avatharam. Produced by Udayakrishna and Sibi K Thomas, the film is written by Vyasan Edavanakkad and sees Lakshmi Menon return back to Malayalam Cinema after a while. Avatharam also features Kalabhavan Shajon, Joy Mathew, Shammi Thilakan etc and has music by Deepak Dev. Hi I’m Tony: Trailer

Hi I'm Tony 2014Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr, the son of actor-director-producer Lal made his debut as director with the Malayalam movie Honey Bee last year. Though the critics weren’t too kind to the film, it did go on do well commercially. Gangster: Trailer

Gangster-1Aashiq Abu has been having a relatively dull period of late with his recent films like Da Thadiya (2012), Anchu Sundarikal (2013) and Idukki Gold (2013), not turning out to be very successful. And now he returns with Gangster which features Mammootty in the lead. Incidentally Aashiq had made his debut as filmmaker in Malayalam Cinema with Daddy Cool (2009) which had Mammootty in the lead and now the two are joining hands for a film after 5 years at a time when both are in need of a big hit. Urumi-The Mangal Pandey of Malayalam Cinema?

Some years ago there was unprecedented hype for a Hindi Film Called Mangal Pandey-The Rising. The movie was touted to be the  biggest in Indian History at that point of time.
