Lakshmi plays a cop in Agninakshatram and it also stars her father Mohan Babu, Samuthorakani, Viswant Chitra, Siddique and few others. Leading Indie artist Samar Mehdi releases his new single titled Raushni. A soul-stirring melody, Raushni is the singer-songwriter’s first single of 2022. The song features vocals by Samar Mehdi and his sister Sarah Mehdi. Touted as a gratitude song, the single is a reverberation of the myriad of emotions like gratitude, love, despair, and joy. Amazon Prime Video recently announced the release of superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bhramam on the platform. Directed by Ravi K Chandran, the film will drop exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on October 7. Ahead of the launch of the much-anticipated title, the streaming platform today released a lyrical musical video titled Munthiripoovo.
The video of this peppy and soulful track, starring Prithviraj and Raashi Khanna, has been composed and arranged by Jakes Bejoy, who has also lent his voice to the song along with Midhun Suresh. Beautiful lyrics by B K Harinarayanan make the experience of listening to the number all the more special. The track gives the viewers a glimpse into the musically thrilling adventures that the movie promises.
For the uninitiated, Bhramam, also featuring the likes of Unni Mukundan, Sudheer Karamana, Mamtha Mohandas and Raashi in key roles, dwells on the life of a pianist, who pretends to be blind. Prithviraj essays the role of the pianist, whose musical journey gets interlaced with suspense, inspiration, confusion and drama as he gets embroiled in a murder mystery. As the plot thickens and a set of bizarre events unfold, wit and survival create the fabric of the film coupled with the stellar background score composed by Jakes.

In 1991, Jatin Pandit gave music for the classic chartbuster “Bin Tere Sanam” from the movie Yaara Dildara. After 30 years, he has penned a new original song with the words “Bin Tere” for his son Raahul. Commenting on the same, Raahul said, “Both are very different types of songs. Honestly, I had never even thought about this comparison earlier. It just a twist of fate that both the songs have the words “Bin Tere” in them. My dad and my uncle Lalitji have given some incredible music – today it’s hard to imagine anybody giving so many great songs one after another. I have just started my journey as a musician, as an artist, as a singer. There is a long way to go, and I can never even think of comparing myself to my dad and my uncle. They have done some landmark work, work that is kind of just irreplaceable in today’s day and age. I have composed Bin Tere from my heart and that’s about it. I just hope that everybody likes it.”
