In its constant endeavor to facilitate filmmakers and showcase their works on an international platform, Basil Content Media led by National award winning producer Vivek Kajaria announced that they would collaborate with the Busan International film festival on its new initiative, Platform Busan.
The highly recognized Busan International film festival in South Korea with its new initiative of ‘Platform Busan, is aimed at offering filmmakers from Asia a networking and interaction platform. The four-day event will be held during the festival and will see noted industry professionals and filmmakers interact and address the participants from across the various Asian countries.
In tandem with the same, Basil Content Media will choose and sponsor 5 participants from India to attend this initiative.
Speaking about this Producer and Founder, Basil Content Media, Vivek Kajaria said, “Busan for me has been one of the most exciting festivals to meet and interact with a larger film community. This is yet another great initiative by the festival and we are happy to be able to collaborate with them to send 5 Indian filmmakers to attend this. Initiatives like these are crucial for the development of independent films and we are confident that the participants from India will only stand to gain from this. ”
The application is open to first time and second time filmmakers. Last date for sending in the duly filled applications is 3rd September 2017 while the selected applicants will receive confirmation of selection by 7th September.
The Busan International Film Festival will commence on the 12th of October and conclude on the 21st of October 2017.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Applications shall be sent in latest by the 3 September 2017, entries received after this period
shall not eligible
2. Applicants with films in the current edition of the festival or market shall not be eligible
3. Busan International film festival, Basil Content Media PVT Ltd and its associates reserve the right
to refuse and disqualify any submission deemed inappropriate, inaccurate or false.
4. A total of 5 applicants from India shall be sponsored for the program by Basil Content Media and
Busan International Film Festival. Any applicant wishing to attend the program may choose to do
at their own cost. Applications wishing to attend the program at the own cost will have to in
addition to filling the application form, also submit a letter stating that they will bear the
expenses with regards to the program and they would like for their application to be considered.
5. All applications are screened and evaluated by Basil Content Media, Busan International Film
Festival and a Selection Committee. Their selections are final and confidential.
6. The cost, documentation and application of the Visa shall be borne and made by the applicant.

program and their applications will be disqualified
10. Applicants who have been accepted into the program previously are not eligible to attend this
program

12. Selected applicants will be informed of the result of their selection by 7 September 2017
