1983 Movie Review: A Heady Cocktail of Cricket and Nostalgia Which Hooks You

1983 Malayalam Movie PosterIf I were to look back in time and think of India’s performance in the 1983 Cricket World Cup my personal memories are mostly limited to the final which we played against the West Indies and won convincingly. I was but a toddler then but I still remember that my father brought me home early from school that day, probably because he did not want to get disturbed later on while watching the match 🙂 . But by the time the World Championship of Cricket happened in 1985, I was hooked to the game. Forbes India names Shah Rukh Khan as number one Indian Celebrity

It is the month of December, also the time when most magazines publish their list of Top 10, Top 50’s and so on. Forbes India has come out with their Top 100 Indian Celebrity list for the second time.Along with their list they have also tried to be transparent with the way they have approached the exercise which explains their methodology used.  As usual the list is dominated by Indian film stars and cricketers, once again which reaffirms the belief that we Indians love Bollywood and Cricket, more than anything else.
