There is always a certain amount of anticipation that comes with watching an acclaimed director’s follow up to an acclaimed debut feature. Tevar Movie Review : Attitude Not Found
So after watching Tevar, which released today, I came back home and my parents asked me the movie I had gone for, and so I told them. Post my announcement, here is the conversation my parents had :
Dad : Kaun hai is picture mein?
Mom : Arjun Kapoor. Boney Kapoor ka ladka hai na.
Dad : Toh bekaar hi hogi kyu gaye dekhne fir?
Me : I watch every film.

Tapaal: Trailer
Director Mangesh Hadawale who shot to fame with his first film in Marathi, Tingya (2008) went on later to make his Hindi debut with Dekh Indian Circus which again has been popular in the film festival circuit and even won 4 National Awards at the 60th National Film Awards (for 2013). Mangesh has now turned producer with the Marathi film Tapaal (The Letter), which sees DOP Laxman Utekar handling direction as well. Tapaal is a Marathi film set in a small village in the year 1977. It dwells with sympathy, concern and understanding on the bond between a little boy and a childless couple, and the social discrimination that they face. Produced by Varsha Madhusudan Satpalkar, Tapaal is written by Mangesh Hadawale and features Milind Gunaji, Nandu Madhav, Veena Jamkar, Rohit Utekar etc. Rohit Nagbhide has composed the music while cinematography is by Laxman Utekar and K.D.Dilip is the editor.
Tapaal is releasing this Friday, 26th September. Here’s the trailer of the film.
