Edmonton Movie Club’s Third Annual India Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA) to open with Vikram Vedha

Edmonton Movie Club presents the Third Annual India Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA) in six different cities in Alberta in what is the largest Indian film festival in Canada. The film festival will be held on Edmonton – July 14 -16, Calgary – July 21 – 23, Fort McMurray – July 29, Cold Lake – July 30, Peace River – August 12, and Red Deer – August 17-18, 2017. The 47th Kerala State Film Awards: Complete List of Winners

Earlier today in Thiruvananthapuram the 47th Kerala State Film Awards (for the year 2016) were announced by minister A.K.Balan. Films like Rajeev Ravi’s Kammatipaadam, Johnpaul George’s Guppy, Vinod Mankara’s Kambhoji and Dr.Biju’s Kaadu Pookkunna Neram were the major winners at the Kerala State Film Awards bestowed by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.Continue reading “The 47th Kerala State Film Awards: Complete List of Winners”

Kaadu Pookkunna Neram: Trailer

kaadu-pookkunna-neramDr.Biju continues to make films that he believes in and surprisingly manages to work with known actors as well. His latest Malayalam film Kaadu Pookkunna Neram (When the Woods Bloom) is another such example. Produced by Sophia Paul (who had earlier produced Bangalore Days along with Anwar Rasheed), the film features Indrajith Sukumaran and Rima Kallingal in the lead along with Prakash Bare, Indrans, Irshad etc. M.J.Radhakrishnan is the DOP while Santhosh Chandran is the music composer and Karthik Jogesh is the editor. Premiered earlier at the Montreal World Film Festival this year, it has also been selected for various other festivals Worldwide and is part of the Indian Panorama at IFFI-2016 (Goa) and the International Film Festival of Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram).Continue reading “Kaadu Pookkunna Neram: Trailer”
