Rasam: Sneak Peek

Rasam Poster 3National Award winning Malayalam filmmaker Rajeev Nath hasn’t been having a great run of late. After the disappointing David and Goliath (2013) he is now back with his next film, Rasam. Produced by Group 10 and written by Rajeev Nath along with Nedumudi Venu and Sudip Kumar, the film is based in Qatar and Dubai primarily. Featuring Indrajith in the lead, the rest of the cast includes Nedumudi Venu, Varuna Shetty, Devan, Nandu, Jagadish and of course Mohanlal in a cameo. Vedivazhipadu: Trailer

Akashathinte Niram-Trailer

Dr.Biju who has made films like Saira, Raman and Veettilekulla Vazhi is now back with his latest film, Akashathinte Niram ( Colour of Sky ). Veettilekulla Vazhi had a successful run in the festival circuit and now Akashathinte Niram seems to be following suit. The film has been selected in competition for the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival ( 16-24 June ) for the presitigious Golden Goblet Award. Apparently this is the 1st Malayalam movie to be competing for the same. Ee Adutha Kaalathu Movie Review- Of Multiple Characters & a Vibrant City!!!

Arun Kumar Aravind was successful in remaking Pierce Brosnan starrer Butterfly on a Wheel into a lush Cocktail but it carried the tag of an ‘inspired’ uncredited movie. Murali Gopy, journalist and thespian Bharath Gopi’s son who was last seen in Bharamaram, had earlier penned Dilip’s Rasikan but there are not too many people who can recall the movie.
