Victoria and Abdul is a forthcoming British-American biographical drama film directed by Stephen Frears and written by Lee Hall. It is based on the book of same name by Shrabani Basu. The film stars Judi Dench, Ali Fazal, Eddie Izzard, Tim Pigott-Smith (in his last film role), and Adeel Akhtar. The film is due for release on September 22, 2017.
Plot-Queen Victoria (Judi Dench) strikes up an unlikely friendship with a young Indian clerk named Abdul Karim (Ali Fazal).
