The city, in the cinematic imagination, has always been a site of multiple and complex narratives. These narratives have allowed for different ways of seeing and telling stories about the urban landscape; about people and places whose stories might not immediately be apparent.
In keeping with its commitment of engaging with different voices around the urban, the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) will host the 4th edition of the Urban Lens Film Festival from 21st to 24th September 2017 in Bengaluru and 6th to 8th October 2017 in New Delhi in association with the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan in both cities.
This year, the festival features an open call for entries. Urban Lens is calling for films that explore the idea of the city and urban questions. Films of any genre are eligible to enter the festival including animation, non-fiction, short fiction/feature fiction, experimental and student films.
Submission process: The entry form is available on our website www.iihs.co.in/urbanlens/
There is no submission fee.
Deadline: 30th June 2017
