Director Alex Infascelli’s documentary S Is For Stanley dwells upon the life of Emilio D’Alessandro, who was the personal driver and a close confidante of the legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. The film also explores the relationship shared by D’Alessandro and Kubrick which lasted for more than 30 years and saw the former play a pivotal role in the making of the most acclaimed works of Kubrick such as The Shining and Full Metal Jacket.
The documentary was screened at the recently concluded International Film Festival of Goa and was also an official selection at Fantastic Film Fest 2016 and was nominated for the European Film Awards.
