Here’s what we recommend for Day 4 of the festival:
PVR ICON
10:30am – Rajwade & Sons – A vibrant Marathi drama about the weight of family traditions and the younger generation rebelling against it. Yes, it had released in theatres, but went away too soon. Those had missed it back then can catch it now.
2:15 pm/3:30pm – Lost in Paris/Clash – We have already mentioned why we recommend this film here and here.
5:40pm/4:55pm – Salesman/ Hounds of love – We have already mentioned why we recommend Salesman film here. If you are done seeing Salesman, going for the Austrialian films Hounds of Love. Variety calls it a bold new spin on the serial killer genre.
8:30pm – Ventilator – If you haven’t seen the charming trailer of this film, check it out now.
PVR ECX
2:00 pm I called him Morgan – We have already mentioned why we recommend this film here.
5:55pm/ 6:10pm – Road to Mandalay/Red Turtle – We have already written why we recommend Red Turtle film here. If you have already seen Red Turtle go for the Taiwanese film Road to Mandalay. It is a nuanced film about migrants in Bangkok with stunning camerawork.
8:30pm – The Similars – This is one of those strange films that make film festivals what they are. Eight people experience a strange phenomenon while waiting for a bus at a remote station on a rainy October night. Check out its trailer. Definitely not your usual stuff.
La Reve
11:30 am – Aquarius – We have already mentioned why we recommend this film here.
6:30pm – Certain women – We have already mentioned why we recommend this film here.
9:00pm – Wailing – We have already mentioned why we recommend this film here.
PVR PHOENIX
12:00pm – The Untamed – A film by the director of Heli. Also read this plot: A couple in a troubled marriage locate a meteorite, initiating an encounter with a mysterious creature. Their lives are turned upside down by the discovery of the creature, which is a source of both pleasure and destruction. We are watching it for sure.
8:30 pm – Barakah Meets Barakah – We have already mentioned why we recommend this film here.
9:00 pm – Neruda – We have already mentioned why we recommend this film here.
REGAL
5:45pm – Letters from War – The screendaily is mighty impressed, ‘extraordinary non-narrative work illustrates the ability of the imaginative spirit – embodied here by a novelist in a combat zone – to find beauty and hope even amid horror and the soul-crushing tedium of the military condition.’

PVR KURLA
9:00 pm – Things to come – When a highly regarded critic like Mark Kermode recommends a film, it just cannot be missed. Also it stars the always magnificent Isabelle Huppert in the lead role.
PVR Mulund
9:00 pm – My Life as Zuccini – We have already written about why we recommend this film here.
