Trailer Of Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge

timthumbOf late, Mel Gibson has been in the news mainly for his controversial statements rather than his films. He is in the news once again and this time, its thankfully for the right reasons.

Gibson returns to direction after a long hiatus with Hacksaw Ridge. The film is based on the true story of World War II American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss (Andrew Garfield) who during the Battle of Okinawa, refused to kill people and subsequently became the first recipient of the Medal of Honor.

The film also stars Sam Worthington, Vince Vaughn and Hugo Weaving and is shot by Simon Duggan (The Great Gatsby) and edited by John Gilbert (The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring).

The film recently premiered at the ongoing Venice Film Festival and will see a theatrical release in U.S and other countries in November. Will it evoke as diverse reactions as Gibson’s previous directorial ventures Apocalypto and The Passion of the Christ is something we will soon get to know. Meanwhile, do have a look at the film’s trailer and let us know your views on it.
