Director Sameer Vidwans and writer Kshitij Patwardhan made quite an impression last year with Double Seat. The film which took a realistic look at the struggle of a middle class couple to buy a house of their own was a critical and commercial success which struck a chord with audiences.
The duo of Vidwans and Patwardhan is now back with with their latest film YZ. The film narrates the story of a 33 year old professor (Sagar Deshmukh) whose life changes after he meets the 18 year old Battees (Akshay Tanksale). The film also stars Sai Tamhankar, Mukta Barve and Parn Pethe. The film is produced by Sanjay Chhabria of Everest Motion Pictures and Anish Joag of Pratisaad Productions. While the film is shot by Sudhakar Yakkanti Reddy of Sairat and Fandry fame.
