After the debacle called Bombay Velvet, one would have expected Anurag Kashyap to take a hasty retreat and withdraw into a shell for a while. But clearly, the filmmaker is made of sterner stuff and is back with his latest feature Raman Raghav 2.0.
The film which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles is based on Raman Raghav, a serial killer who operated in Mumbai in the ’60s who reportedly killed more than 40 people. The film also stars Sobhita Dhulipala and is written by Kashyap and Vasan Bala. The film also reunites Kashyap with editor Aarti Bajaj.
The film has created quite a buzz till now with its unique promotional campaign that saw the makers release some sleekly designed publicity stills and interesting teasers. Whether the film will fulfill expectations and help Kashyap bounce back is something only time will tell.
