Director Jeremy Saulnier shot into prominence with Blue Ruin – a unique vengeance drama that won the FIPRESCI award (in Directors Fortnight) at Cannes and a Special Jury award at Marrakech International Film Festival among a host of other international festival accolades in 2013. Post its festival run, the film was also saw an international theaarical release. After the much acclaimed film, Saulnier returns with Green Room.
The film narrates the tale of the members of a young rock band who get trapped in a secluded venue after witnessing a horrifyinh act of violence. Green Room stars Anton Yelchin, Alia Shawkat, Callum Turner, Macon Blair ( who played the lead in Blue Ruin) and Patrick Stewart. The film is scheduled for a limited release this year in April in U.S and France among other countries. Besides this the film will also be featured in Directors Fortnight at Cannes this year.
