BAFTA 2013 – The List of Winners

The 66th BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Awards)  was held on 10th Feb 2013 at London.The BAFTA was founded in 1947 as British Film Academy by David Lean, Alexander Korda, Carol Reed, Charles Laughton, Roger Manvell.The Show this year was hosted by Stephen Fry. Argo seems to be the flavour of BAFTA this year by winning major awards. The list of Winners of BAFTA 2013 are as follows

  • Outstanding British Film – Skyfall (Sam Mendes, Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, John Logan)
  • Best Film ARGO – (Grant Heslov, Ben Affleck, George Clooney)

  • Best Documentary – Searching for Sugar Man (Malik Bendjelloul, Simon Chinn)
  • Best Animated Film – Brave (Mark Andrews, Brenda Chapman)
  • Best Director – Argo (Ben Affleck)
  • Original Screenplay – Django Unchained ( Quentin Tarantino)
  • Adapted Screenplay – Silver Linings Playbook  (David O. Russell)
  • Leading Actor – Lincoln ( Daniel Day Lewis)
  • Leading Actress – Amour ( Emmanuelle Riva)
  • Supporting Actor – Django Unchained(Christoph Waltz)
  • Supporting Actress – Les Misérables(Anne Hathaway)
  • Original Music – Skyfall (Thomas Newman)
  • Cinematography – Life of Pi (Claudio Miranda)
